Thankful For My Adopted Parents

I was adopted at the age of 18 months old. I am 50+ years old. I am thankful for my adopted parents. I just recently found my one of my biological brothers. We are beginning to develop a relationship.

You gave me hope to smile
it dried my weeping eyes.
You gave me hope to trust again,
through your love you showed me how.
The love you gave was very special
it made me realize
I am not just a foster child with hope
an adopted child with love;
I am a chosen child!

I have been adopted since I was five and My family just recently took in my best friend because his foster dad did not want him anymore. God has blessed us much, because he is the best big brother and family member we have had.
My new brother and I have had a similar story... I was neglected and abused, not wanted by anyone but my adoptive family. Together, we have found family hope!
