1. My Grandmother
In my rose garden of memories,
I see you standing there,
An angel in disguise,
Who taught me how to care.
Grandmothers are famous for their hearty meals and fresh baked cookies, their abundant hugs and kisses, and their insistent desire to spoil their grandchildren. Times spent at grandma's house are often marked by love, laughter, and contentment. In fact, grandmothers are often responsible for bringing the whole family together. Because grandmothers are such a source of joy for their grandchildren, they are always sorely missed when they pass away. To lose a grandmother is to lose a most valuable family member. Many grandchildren find a peace and solace after the loss of their grandmother by expressing their feelings through poetry.
In my rose garden of memories,
I see you standing there,
An angel in disguise,
Who taught me how to care.
My grandmother's name was Rose. This poem is so apt. She had cancer. While it gave me time to spend with her, it made it really painful to watch her lose weight and her hair, withdraw into a...

I feel your presence near.
I will hold you close in memory
Till I drop my very last tear.

My heart never felt so much pain.
The sky came together and dropped lots of rain.
I thought my life was coming to an end.
All I know is I will never give in.

You had many things to say,
All in a caring way.

A woman of extreme strength, courage and love,
Who was beautiful, soft and now peaceful and free as a dove.
Someone on who our admiration was built around,
For her womanhood, wife, friend and grandmother since she was brought into this ground.

There's this one special person
She's always on my mind
All the things we used to have
Are so far behind

The years will always roll on by
and time will always pass,
but every memory I have of you
will definitely always last.
A caterpillar walks in beauty
through the sunshine and the rain,
leaving sweet memories
to ease away the pain.
If Grandma had a meaning
I'll tell you what it'd be
if you were close to yours
like mine was close to me

Nan, to walk into your room and see you smile,
I walked over and hugged you all the time.
You always made me smile and always had stories to tell.
I loved sitting with you every day and listening to the memories you had to share.

She played a different role in all our
lives: a mother, a sister, and a
grandmother. No matter, what the love
we have for her is one. Ask anyone,
My older sister has always been there for me! When I needed to talk, she always had the answer. And said I Love You no matter what! No one has the answer to cancer, Why do you have to leave...
You picked me up
And held me tight.
And said you loved me
Every night.

Life gets very busy.
Things get in the way.
Do I have time to visit?
I'll go another day.

From my beginning until your end,
You were by my side, my first best friend.
I never expressed it when you were here
Though my love and admiration were sincere.
My grandma was special in every way,
She made me smile every day.
And she was always there for me,
Especially in my time of need.
This is the most painful day for me. When my grandma left me I was so lonely. December 25 is the day she died. My grandma was my best friend. She always supported me. Whatever I learned today...

I loved the way she'd hold my hand,

I'd go to her; her heart was warm.

You're not that far away.
I can still envision your smile.
God brought you to be with Him,
But I'll see you in a while.
Grandma is one special angel, a
Really gentle, beautiful soul.
Angel of God, so pure and whole.
Never leave me, stay close by.
The words you spoke so wisely
Have never been so clear.
All the lessons that you taught me
Still remain right here.
