41. Happy Heavenly Mother's Day
Mom,
Every day must be a celebration in your
Newfound heavenly home,
But our Mother's Day is forever empty

I came to this world nothing.
I thank you, Mama, for taking care of me.
I am so weak and can't stand alone.
Thank you, Mama, for helping me stand on my own.

Though words are written
About mothers, that is true,
Still, I know that no one ever had
A mother just like you.
As Mother's Day approaches,
it fills me with such dread.
Whilst others have their mothers,
mine's gone, not here; she's dead.
Your poem is great. I lost my mother too, too early. Since then I have fought various aspects of loneliness. I miss her. Occasions come and go, some which reminds me of her bewitching smile,...
These are the words I've constructed in my mind,
to say thank you for all that you've done.
But words are somehow hard to find.
Before I could say it, they're long gone.
There are no hands more lovely
Than the ones that held you tight
And soothed you through the night.
You stayed with me through thick and thin,
even when I started to turn dark within.
You always bring me back to reality,
Saying the world doesn't revolve around flattery.
I smelt the smile of childhood
I had woken up and smiled
It was my mother's cooking
And I was just a child
Yes, I was touched by this poem. I too live alone and miss my husband more than I can say. We too met when I was just 16 years old. We were married for well over 50 years. Thank you for...
Mothers are beautiful in every way.
They nurture, care, and love all day.
In the day, they are the sunshine in the sky,
