Set forth towards the light,
For it will be a lonely night.
As long as I live,
As far as I see,
This is no place for me to be.
Wired till the end,
This will be my only friend.
Voices in my head,
Telling me I'm already dead.
Hanging from my last limb
While the lights begin to slowly dim.
So set forth towards the light,
For it will be a lonely night.

When I am all alone in the night
The stars make me bright
I wondered and feared that night
Because stars are only sight.

Lonely nights turn my windows into mirrors. Like old elevators bouncing back and forth, infinite reflections of reflections, a dizzying display of every mistake regret and loss. Until the dizzying illusion overwhelms me and I shut my eyes and pretend my eyelids drop. Little pieces of the pain and memories like scars will fade. But I know the truth.
