God be with us
For we are your children
Give us your blessing
For we ask for your help
Help us through perils
And that which may come
Holding true to oneself
And each other as one
With love in our hearts
Hands holding strong
We'll never let go
Until the journey is done
Then guided on wings of the purest white
Will arrive in your arms
To be reunited as one

Dear Ivy,
I found your poem so beautiful, I composed a choir piece around it for the Gospel Choir I conduct. It is considered by many in our choir one of the best songs in our repertoire, and your lyrics are a big part of that.
Thanks for your inspiring prayer.
