About Joydip

Joydip Dutt was born and brought up in Kolkata, India. After completing a degree in English, she started working as a content writer and currently works as a freelance writer. Even though she has loved poetry since childhood, she didn’t start writing it until 2015. Joydip Dutt is one of the pen names she uses – this particular name was borrowed from her husband. Her first self-published book, Fleeing Moments: haiku on nature, was published in 2018. Her second book, a poetry book for children, WOW! What a Wondrous World!, has just been released and can be purchased on Amazon!

Lovely poem, Bettina. I have never been to Europe but plan to visit it someday. But I have stayed in the North eastern part of USA for quite a few years, and hands down fall is my favorite season. Nothing can compare the beauty of nature you get to see during that time of the year.

However, In India, specially in the eastern part of the country, beauty of autumn is very different from what you see in US or Europe. During mid September till mid October you can see Kans grass blooming near the river beds, and I must say, it's also breathtakingly beautiful.
