The Workout
I need to lose weight, just a pound or twenty.
If I could lose fifty, well that would be plenty.
I could join a gym, but I don't have the gumption.
My legging clad legs aren't for public consumption.

This was positively delightful! I'm quite sure this sums up just about anyone who has ever tried to exercise, only to be utterly fed up with it in no time. This definitely got me laughing,...
We love our dog with all our hearts,
But not so much her stinky farts.
Her doggy breath is less than fresh,
Yet we hug her nonetheless.
Hi Marybeth. What a cute story...he sounds adorable. It reminded me of our previous dog, also a lab, who was our resident present opener. She loved nothing more than tearing off wrapping...

I tried to write a poem
But I couldn't find the words.
They've taken a vacation
So my poem's been deferred.
I just love this poem - anyone who writes poetry will recognise the feelings described.
I love your poems and would like to know more about the person who writes them - any chance of a...

A cow and a rooster went dancing
One night by the light of the moon.
They'd arranged to meet in the barnyard
With the crickets providing the tune.
Oh what fun, what a barnyard dance. Wonderful lively poetry, great literary imagery.
I really enjoyed the read and just know children will absolutely love this fabulous poem.
Followed right along, well versed and emotions well described!

Have you noticed that your husband suffers from a strange affliction
That will most often affect him in the bedroom or the kitchen?
Though you must try hard to treat him with compassion and with kindness,
It is really quite the challenge dealing with Domestic Blindness.
I haven't been on this website for a while,
Your poem is amazing it really made me smile!
It's so uplifting to read something funny and lighthearted, thank you for sharing!
You don't get to judge me
Till you've walked in my shoes,
Till you've carried my burdens
And paid all my dues,
Fantastic poem - well done. So true. That says it all. I just wish I had written it myself.
Restful sleep has proved elusive.
Lack of it is not conducive
To my overall wellbeing,
As I stare up at the ceiling.
