Never got to hear your voice
To your picture I now clutch
Knowing it was not your choice
Everyday I wonder how different it would be
To see you here on Earth laughing and playing with me
You were a lover of Hank Williams, guitar, voice and all
Passed that passion on to me, addicted to his southern drawl
As I grow older, I see you everywhere
The places I go
The traits we share
And even in the stars glow
As I lay here gazing into the blue
I wonder if you keep a closed eye
Protect me in everything I do
You are there now, in eternal elation
No more wrinkles in your brow,
Just like a worry-free vacation
And with your blessing, God might allow
I wish I could've felt your touch,
I wish I could've heard your voice,
Cause now I miss you very much
To your loving spirit I sing and rejoice
I love you grandpa and always keep a light
For your curious heart watching in the night
Until we meet, adieu, adieu
Until we meet
Grandfather
Mom miss you so much take me with you. I can't even put in words how much I'm hurting. This poem exactly how I feel
