Short Funny Poem

A Whimsical Poem Of Individuality

This poem is about a man who lives in a jar, which is quite obviously fictional, bizarre, and at the same time humorous. But it is also an example of how we so often are judgmental of others. What we view as bizarre may be quite normal and rational for someone else.

The Man In The Jar

I once knew a man who lived in a jar.
For a stranger sight you'd have to go far.
I asked him once why he lived in a jar.
He grimaced and said, how bizarre you are.

My jar's so cozy, warm and bright,
Even in the full moonlight.
The only drawback is, you see,
Getting out quickly when I have to pee.

I once knew a man who lived in a jar.
He lived oh so very far,
He traveled to work every day by car,
And on the way home he stopped at a bar.
