Short Funny Poem

Funny Poem About Losing Glasses

I often make up poems whilst I am asleep. How this happens, I am not sure. I just dream them up then as soon as I wake in the morning I have to write them down. This is one of them.

Woah! This is a funny poem and I can relate to it. I've misplaced my glasses too, more times than I care to remember and when I eventually find them, I'd be like "Would you believe this?"....

I've hunted near, I've hunted far
I even looked inside my car.
I've lost my glasses, I'm in need,
To have them now so I can read.
I loudly swear and I curse
Did I leave them in my purse?
Are they behind the sofa, under the bed?
Oh, there they are - on my head!

This poem reminds me of the time when my glasses got switched up with my sister's glasses.

That was funny because it makes feel old by having the same issue all the time.

I agree with you on that, Vincent. This is funny because I misplace my glasses sometimes.

Yes, the same thing happens to me every day when I mislay my glasses all over place. I've worn them since I was eight and am now seventy-five, so you can imagine I accumulated a lot of specs along the way. Anyway, no longer used pairs can now be returned to the optician as charitable donations for people round the world who desperately need them, and that's wonderful. It does them a favour and makes me feel good as well.

It's often right under my nose! Amuses me a great deal. I do joke at home that if only my glasses had a line so I can just ring when it's missing, then get it wherever it is.

It happened to me with my hat also. I looked in mirror and saw it on my head.

Oh, how I relate to this poem! I lose my specs daily, search frantically, then as I pass a mirror I spot them sitting smugly on my head. Why don't I look there first?!!
