Heartbreak Poem

Rhyming Sad Love Poem

Time. Time will heal everything, but sometimes you can only be hurt so much until you break. And sometimes that broken heart never mends.

Powerful and sad. It paints a picture of someone who has come to the conclusion that there is no chance of recovery for their disillusioned and broken heart (life). Heavy!

One. Two. Five. Ten.
I am counting it over and over again.
Twenty. Fifty. One-hundred and two?
How many times you said you loved me true.
One thousand, six hundred and five.
How many times you stood there and lied.
Four billion, nine thousand, six hundred and ten
How many chances I gave you over again.
Eleven zillion, six billion, five million, then some
How many feelings you have torn and undone.
But one, just one, poor little heart you destroyed.
Although it was not whole before,
Now it can never be restored.

From one Kelsey to another. I feel your heartbreak through each line because it resonates with my own. A boy came along and told me he wouldn't hurt me like the ones before him. He stayed for a while and then left. But before he left he told me how he didn't love me. So I guess I'm heartbroken and I ask myself this question, how many times can a heart be broken before it is completely unfixable? Thank you for your honest depiction of heartbreak.
