I'm sitting in class, gazing into space
Contemplating on where I'd rather be
Counting each second till I leave this place
Is all this work really worth a degree
I go to the restroom just for a break
So much work, this is one gigantic load
There's only so much math that I can take
One more assignment and I will explode
Equations, word problems, can't you just see
How is a+b a part of my life
I think it's just irrelevant to me
I don't feel the need to be in this strife
I cannot wait until my freedom comes
I hope I don't become one of those bums
Poems on school life are very interesting as they are very near to my heart. School is everything to me as I work as an educator. Bravo to the writer of this poem.
