Standing Strong In The Face Of Adversity

This is my first poem I ever wrote for a school project in 7th grade. I was looking through my computer files and stumbled across this. I thought I would share this here since I feel it can help inspire some people not to give up.

This is a nice poem! My friend has lost a lot, and I know this will make them feel better. Keep writing!

Never Give In

Sometimes in life the road becomes slippery and you tumble and fall.
But don't lose heart; just get up and forget it all.

When you think you've had enough and can't take anymore,
don't think like that; thoughts like that should be ignored.

If you're dangling off the edge of a cliff, hold that rope.
Call for help because someone will pull you back up. There's always hope.

When you've lost your way in the darkness of night,
Just keep walking because the sun will rise and guide you with its light.

You go every which way in a dark cave, and it seems like an impossible puzzle.
Keep going and you'll find the way out, for there's always a light at the end of a tunnel.

Nothing can shatter your dreams of the past.
This is the reason that makes your journey last.

When you try to achieve your dreams, you will have to suffer and strive.
But do everything it takes to get there. Hang in there and you will survive.

The reward you earn will pay off for the efforts you have sacrificed.
You will feel the joy and glory rush into you and that will feel really nice!

Never give up, never back down.
If you prevail, you will be the one to wear the crown.

Don't let anything get in your way.
It's all about how you do it and your style of play.

So never give up on your dreams,
No matter how hard they may seem.
