Divorce Poem

Letter From Father To Daughter Explaining Divorce

While my wife and I were separated, I wrote this while picturing the worst for my little girl.

Featured Shared Story

My parents split before I was born. My dad came back when I was two just to leave again. This is so true though. Just because parents split doesn't mean they don't love you.

My Baby Girl

I lay here and think of how pretty you are
Daddy's little angel shines like a star
I'm sorry this happened to your little heart
That Mommy and Daddy had to split apart

One day I just hope you will see
All I ever wanted was my family
But your Mommy and Daddy
Were never meant to be

I just pray this doesn't affect your life
'Cause it kills me inside to not have my wife
We had our up and downs
Now all I get is a small, simple frown

It's hard to write this for you
'Cause a family's love is all that you knew
Don't cry baby girl
'Cause your Daddy loves you.

Wow, I'm touched by this poem. God, help us, please. Marriage is a blessing from above. I can't imagine my life without my husband.
