The smell of weed
Surrounds my street
The sound of cars
Never let me sleep
While I lay down
I start to drown
In the thoughts of darkness
And, bam!
I wake up
Someone just got shot
The street gets closed
I have nowhere to go
I stay home
And just think
Another life has gone
In just a blink
I hate those gangs
They destroy families
And mess up my life
The worse thing is
That I can't escape it
I live in Los Angeles
These are usual things
And I just have to face them
Bumper to bumper traffic
Prostitutes in the corner
Gangsters outside laughing
Kids walking with their folders
Ladies standing next to their baskets
Selling hot tamales
This is the place where I live
The place that's always on the news
The place full of devils
Welcome to my city
