Poem About Holding Onto Memories After A Friend's Passing

My best friend was murdered this June. She, her mom, and her dog were cruelly taken away. This is for you, Jade. I'll miss you forever.

It's okay to miss you,
It's okay to cry.
Just know I'll never forget you.
This isn't a permanent goodbye.

Sometimes I sit and wonder
If you are standing by my side,
Giving me the courage
To carry on with pride.

I'll hold onto our memories,
Until this life is done.
In my heart is where I'll store them,
Where we can be as one.

Today I lost my friend from childhood, and I could rate the words of the poem to my life.

I miss my Mom and Dad. Together forever they will stay in my heart each and every day. I often think about them to give me the reassurance that they are here by my side every day. With each passing day I go through in life, I know that my mom and dad looked after me for being just a thought away.

It is a horrible incident. However, the way the friend tries to maintain the balance in mind is very effective. She does not give into emotions.

I just lost my childhood friend to cancer today morning. This poem came in coincidentally that I could relate the words to my situation. Thanks!

I lost a dear one yesterday. She died of kidney failure. We were supposed to get married soon. We both had plans for the future. She was the one with a plain/good heart. She was full of life. It's true that no one is perfect, but she was perfect for me. She was everything I ever wanted, but death took her. I feel lost. I feel empty. I feel lonely. Will things ever be the same ever again, I ask myself. She told me she loved me. How could she leave so soon? How could she?
