My grandmother died in September 2013. She was born in 1936 in Romania. I wrote this poem for my dad, and I thought I'd share it with you all.

A Mother's Love

A mother's love
Is a gift from above

That is a wonderful treasure
Kept in our hearts forever.

When that loved one passes on,
And it seems like all is gone,

Those dear memories come to mind.
A sweet moment we will find.

When in pain and sadness,
Look back at the gladness.

For we should rejoice
That heaven got another voice.

Her body may be upon this earth,
But her soul is in heaven living a new birth.

So be comforted when you are grieving.
It is on a blessing she is receiving.

I was so touched by the poem because I lost my mom to ovarian cancer in January 2013, when I was 12 1/2. I am now 17 years of age, and it is not easy. I miss my mom so much, and I wish that she could be there physically, though I know that's impossible. She is with me in spirit and in my heart, always. She is watching down on me from heaven. I miss and love you, Mom.
