As the sun crests the earth's horizon
With the beautiful dawn of a new day
The Picturesque scene awe inspiring
With dazzling colors too many to say

Freezing my eyes in time and place
Thought provoking of what I'm seeing
A primary color sets my mind in pace
Captured still my thoughts un-freeing

As the sun moves in time to a place
Shining down on passionate roses below
Color representing love in hearts race
All-consuming of thoughts you know

Time with place to place the sun moves
Looking back prior to the season of fall
Falling tree leaves this color approves
Not seen through winter's snowfall

But seen abundantly in a winter's holiday
Gifts given through memories invoked
Precious time spent together, more I pray
This heart felt message will be un-cloaked

Winter is gone and the sun moves on
To the next reminder in both time and place
Through spring to summer as flowers grow
Their color depicting a beautiful blushing face

As the sun sets below the earth's horizon
With the beautiful end of another day
The Picturesque scene awe inspiring
With dazzling colors too many to say

But a color stands out above the rest
Freezing my thoughts in time and place
Ever consuming all of my thoughts
Because of whom all this reminds me of

Looking at the clouds in the sky above
I have often pondered and wondered why
Why love is like a raindrop in ways there of
Meant to stay then be released after a while

The symbolism reflected in that raindrop
Like the circumference of a tear and a sigh
It will fall from the sky and won't stop
You may even see it as it passes you by

What words would it have me to say?
What words would it have me compile?
There is nothing left I can do but pray
Pray that I can make you smile for a while

Because that raindrop still passes us by
With many tears shed and a broken heart
As it leaves and drops from the cloudy sky
Hoping happy memories will never depart

Crushing as a raindrop crashes to the ground
The puddle remains showing what is reflected
Broken hearts in pools of water now drowned
The cycle of love has now been perfected

Perfect we loved without any remorse
Feeling the pain and this sorrowful heart
For in that pain true love was endorsed
Seared into my heart even for my small part

My part I played perfectly with no regrets
But the sorrow will remain likes clouds above
Memories with each raindrop I'll never forget
It was true and you will forever be my love

I hate all things smiley and happy
Won't win you any fame
Stop-it's only trippy
And it comes across as lame

Don't come to me with your joy
It only peeks my suspicion
And it's starting to annoy
Completely, by admission

Soon you will see it my way
Happiness is making me sick
And it's completely ruining my day
I won't fall for your poison trick

I'm not having it today
I hate all things smiley and happy
Make your gleefulness go away
Because it's driving me crazy

Just let me be, be gone cherry face
Completely irritating is your cheer
Why are your smiling in the first place?
Take that happiness away from here

Have you ever pondered your value?
Asking sincerely about your worth
Placing importance on a thank you
Playfully with words referring to your birth
You may ask simply what is the meaning?
Based on what is being written here
It's a poetic celebration of well-meaning
Referring to you because you're dear
The earth was blessed on that given day
Having been gifted someone truly special
Daily joy even on days that may seem gray
Always with your presence totally on the level
You make things truly better and whenever
Even on the days that you don't think so
Life becomes a smile with just a "whatever"
I just wanted you to understand and know
Forever thankful for you, even if your eyes begin to roll

All together gracious falling to the ground
Swooping looping and turning around
You see them in Spring Summer and Fall
Once they were small but that's not all

Under the sun they grow into leaves
All to quickly then they fall it seems
Renewed once again without doing a thing
Entering the scene with the dawn of a new spring

Beautiful depiction the true message is near
Ever pointing to the new leaf's color, it is clear
Altogether green signifying new life
Until they fall swooping looping into after life

Together graciously falling to the ground
It's clear that there is something depicted here
Find the meaning in the color for it to appear
Until then all of this is repeating once again

Life's beautiful message hidden with this pen

I am your neighborhood cat you see
Destined to antagonize you as I please
Peering through your window hehe
Come here dog to bark to appease

You can't get me you canine disease
You're locked inside can't you see
I'll scratch at your window with ease
Ahhh does this irritate with my tease

Bark bark bark dog to try to appease
As I lick your window repeatedly hehe
Oh wait here is my backside to tease
I wave my tail just to further displease

Had enough you stupid canine disease
I'm your neighborhood cat I do as I please
Wait! was that the front door as I freeze
Chased down the street now I must flee

What do you see before you?
Are you alone to your thoughts?
Is the sky above you colored blue?
With clouds passing into afterthoughts

A promise made to you.  You are not alone
All around you is ready for the artist's touch
A canvas white and ready for the unknown
This life and burdens that seem too much

A new start.  A simple swoosh of the brush
Though some colors are dark and grey
None of it matters to this life's paintbrush
Mixed together, colored cares vanish away

For even the saddest color can be beautiful
With the delicate strokes of the artist's brush
Creates a white caped mountain unmovable
With green trees, leaves rustling then a hush

Darkest thoughts calmed by a gentle stream
Reflecting memories some good many bad
Painted into things found only in a dreams
With happy colors the artist begins to add

You are the artist wielding the paintbrush
Creating life's picture with your own brush
Now, what do you see before you?
Is the sky above you still colored blue?

There is a chance for a new masterpiece
Regardless of the colors it's yours to wield
With each gentle stroke you will be at peace
Creating a picture of hope for you to be healed

Once I stumbled upon an enchanted forest
It wasn't too long ago in the middle of May
Wandering about thinking I was a tourist
Trekking freely stumbling along I must say

This is beautifully stunning I said to myself
For it was on that day face to face I stared
At the crowd of trees like a picture on a shelf
Different with a mental darkness I shared

I ventured bravely into the forest that day
To see what enchantments I could behold
On that fateful day in the middle of May
Thinking pridefully to myself I am very bold

It's what I discovered that was in those trees
Something wrong something dark and very cold
Lay within those trees I never wanted to see
Beckoning to me to see that which I was to behold

Etched here and there, images of memories past
Image after image scars here and everywhere
Tortured representations have caught me at last
Binding me to hurt my burden now I have to bear

A mother's name which symbolizes hurtful words
Said in hate to someone too young to understand
Next a symbol of love in the spring and afterward
Heart broken to pieces it didn't work out as planned

Followed by icons of a map with thoughts of riches
A symbol of life crushed by circumstances unknown
This enchanted forest is only that which bewitches
Nightmarish memories never to be forgotten nor alone

Run away I did on that fateful day in the middle of May
From the enchanted forest of which I didn't want to see
A reflection of my mind twisted and dark I have to say
It was a lifelong journey of what I didn't want to ever be
