1. In Time's Swing
Famous Poem
Father Time, your footsteps go
Lightly as the falling snow.
In your swing I'm sitting, see!
Push me softly; one, two; three,
When we take the time to examine the beauty of the world around us, we are able to see parallels within our own lives. One who in tune with nature is in tune with the practice of living. Nature moves in a spiral as do our personal lives. It is important to spend time in nature because in this way we can become aware of its wisdom. If we ignore the beauty of nature and spend all our time in an urban jungle, our stress levels go up and we begin to feel as if we are made out of the concrete that we see all around us.

Famous Poem
I went to see a waterfall
When days were dull of song.
And to its jubilant wild voice
I listened deep and long.

Famous Poem
I dare not look away
From beauty such as this,
Lest, while my glance should stray,
Some loveliness I miss.
Famous Poem
Last night we saw the sunlight fall
Beyond the gate and old stone wall,
And brighten on the stocks of wheat,
Ripe after days of brooding heat;
Famous Poem
The golden sea its mirror spreads
Beneath the golden skies,
And but a narrow strip between
Of earth and shadow lies.
There are some drawn to the ocean,
Its boundless depths and mysteries,
Where crashing breakers sound like thunder,
And gentle breezes kiss the seas,
Come, Come and feel crisp air anew
As respirations burn
Discover bark, tall grass and dew
That only touch can learn
A lovely feeling of freshness and the healing senses of nature. Best wishes, Ann
SPRING
I slowly unfurl to the wide World
Stretching up to the blue sky
Famous Poem
Sitting to-day in the sunshine
That touched me with fingers of love,
I thought of the manifold blessings
God scatters on earth, from above;
Flecks of blue
Lavender delight
Morning gold
The black of night
There's a simple beauty to the falling rain.
The same kind of beauty you find in a child's smile or a flower covered hillside terrain.
The sound of the rain falling on the roof above
Famous Poem
I came to the mountains for beauty
And I find here the toiling folk,
On sparse little farms in the valleys,
Wearing their days like a yoke.
I sit upon my front porch stoop
Beneath the morning sun.
Grateful for the moment spent
Away from everyone.
This poem is absolutely beautiful! I, too, spend as much time as possible outside with Nature! The birds and trees help to start each day, no matter the weather. I do my best thinking,...
The mountains are full of glory,
such a beautiful, rugged territory.
Snow that caps the highest peaks
Where my heart truly lies
Is in the beauty of a simple life,
In a little peace and quiet,
Slower pace and lesser strife.
It's ethereal,
the way the sky paints itself.
Some days,
I am a lover of literature. Poems on love and nature are welcome! Thanks a lot.
Famous Poem
O gift of God! O perfect day:
Whereon shall no man work, but play;
Whereon it is enough for me,
Not to be doing, but to be!
Feel the peace, which you find in nature.
Positive atmosphere which gives you more pleasure.
Feel the golden morning and the energetic sunrise.
I wonder if we realize
The gifts that we've been given,
The endless flow of beauty
Bestowed on us by heaven.
Leaves fluttering on a gentle breeze,
Within the forest of whispering trees,
Makes sunlight gracefully dance there,
Upon the ground and everywhere.
This poem touches my heart deeply because I enjoy practicing/learning/enjoying/reading/memorizing descriptive poems (in this case about nature's beauties), especially when the words fill the...
