I hear your voice in the dead, dark night.
I look around, but no one's in sight.
Through the storms, the rain, the wind I fight,
But all you are is my whisper to find.
I see your face when I close my eyes,
A burning image I cannot hide.
Then it cuts through me like two sharp knives
That all you are is my whisper to find.
Your voice used to be all I could hear.
Now it's slowly fading away.
Your shadow used to be so near,
Now it's slowly slipping away.
I close my eyes, but your face is gone.
You're not there in my mind.
I try to search for your voice,
But you're no longer my whisper to find
