Walls

It’s cold and it’s dark,
In this place that I hide,
I’ve built up these walls,
I let no-one inside.

I want to break free,
I just don’t know where to go,
I’ve built up these walls,
So no-one would know.

If I could just tell you,
Would you love me the same,
I’ve built up these walls,
I’ve got no-one else to blame.

The pain in my heart,
Is growing rapidly,
I’ve built up these walls,
So no-one would see.

Someday I will step outside,
Feet planted firmly on the ground,
I’ve built up all these walls,
But someday they will come tumbling down.
