The days seem longer
My love grows stronger
The distance between you and I
The miles make me want to die
We screwed up in the beginning
I never wanted there to be an ending
Another marriage, another divorce
That was my thinking, of course
You finally opened your heart
You decided we should never be apart
A fresh start at a brand new life
One with less crying and strife
A new love has started to grow
Every day love is what you show
With you standing by my side
I'm finally ready for life's little ride
So take me baby, I'm all yours
Now, I sit here and count the hours
Longing to be in your arms
Smiling at the thought of your charm
Butterflies in my belly
Like a little girl, I feel silly.

The day I found this love I knew right then and there he was the one. We have broken up so many times that this is kind of our sixth time together. This poem has touched me to realize that love isn't just a word it means something between my boyfriend and I, that we have to keep learning about each other and one day realize that we're both something that we are not willing to walk out the door. I hope one day that my boyfriend and I unite as one.
