Inspiring Poem for Kids

Limerick Poems About A Lesson Learned About School

A limerick regarding my school days (or should I say fooling around playing truant days). It's only later on in life you realize a good education is the key to success.

It's only now that I'm older I realise my school years were the best days of my life. If only I could turn back time.

Listen To Mum

I remember when I was small and cool,
I was always playing truant from school.
My mum used to say,
"You'll regret it one day
When you grow up to become a fool."

Now I'm old; the damage is done.
How I wish I'd listened to Mum.
If I could turn back time,
I'd study hard and toe the line
Instead of acting foolish and dumb.

Now let that be a lesson to one and all
That life is more than just having a ball.
It was great having fun
When I was young,
But I wish I'd spent more time in the school hall.

An interesting poem which warns the young who try playing truant. It is something found common in many, but some go beyond the limits. For such children, this poem conveys a valuable message.

Hi Kumari. I was one of those who certainly pushed the limits. I now regret all those days of not attending school. I have learned life's lesson the hard way.

The poem reminds me of my school days. What a beautiful place was the school. I hardly remember my friends who are now settled in different places. If I were a school boy, I'd enjoy again. Thank you, beloved poet.
