Faith Poem

Poem About Self-Confidence

I wrote this poem because when I tell people what I want to do with my life some people try to discourage me. At first I let it bother me, but now I realize that you can't let petty people discourage you.

You can be anything if you are rid of ego and arrogance. You can be anything if you respect elders and parents. You can be anything with perseverance.

I Believe In Myself

In this world, I want to be many things.
People tell me I can't be everything,
But I can't listen to what they say.
I can't let their envy control what I think.
With God, I know I can be anything,
And it is Christ who strengthens me.

Haters can tell me I can't.
Discouragers can tell me that I won't.
No matter what anybody says,
I believe in myself.

Anything I put my mind to,
I know that's what I can do.
No matter what anybody says,
I believe in myself.
