Grandfather Death Poem

Poem Mourning Grandfather Who Passed Away

I wrote this poem after my grandpa passed away. I was so sad when I lost him, and this poem explains it all.

The other day I lost you.
How will I ever make it through?

I had to watch you be in all that pain.
It just made me want to go insane.

Watching you lay there made me cry,
And now all I do is wonder why.

Why did you have to go?
I miss you, don't you know?

Every night I kiss you good night,
Wishing everything could be all right.

I wish I could join you up above
So I could still feel your love.

I know you were proud of me.
That's how it will always be.

You went out of the way to help anyone.
You were always the great one.

I hope someday we will meet again
So I can tell you that you were a great man.

I hope he is treating you right up there.
I will always be right here.

One day we will meet again.
I will just have to wait until then.

I miss you!
I love you!

Hopefully I will make it through.
