Earth's Destruction

God, the creator, gave us heaven on Earth. Are we now witnessing the demise of God's creation?

So much truth in this poem. Liked the rhythm and rhyme. We have done so much harm to the environment because of our greed. Do not know what the future has in store for us.

I count God's blessings
One by one.
The moon, the stars,
The rising sun.

All God's creatures,
Great and small.
The wonders of nature,
We're blessed by all.

Then along came man,
And what do we see?
Forests destroyed,
Polluted seas.

Air pollution,
Blackened skies,
A world that's dying.
The end is nigh.

"God's Creation" is a beautiful poem, Brother John. We are indeed truly blessed, so why do humans make the world such a mess?

John, you fit a lot in four stanzas and I really enjoyed reading it. Yes, man's greed and poor choices have been responsible for most of our fragile planet's ills. According to the Holy Scriptures, it is only going to get worse in the last days. I think you have inspired me to post my in-depth poem Apocalypse which details the book of Revelation. Blessings, Gary

Hi Gary,
I'm pleased you enjoyed my poem. Humans have done their best at destroying our wonderful planet. I feel sorry for the next generations. The future ahead looks very bleak. I look forward to reading your poem Apocalypse.
God Bless, John
