Sickness Poem

Having Lost A Wonderful Father Through Dementia

My father was such a beautiful man to our family. He was so supportive despite realizing years later his wonderful impact on our lives. I just wanted to write a poem/song that may say how much he is missed and loved. I work In hospice now and love him everyday. Thank you dad forever. CJC

Well I'm spinning
And I'm spinning
Like a carousel
In your arms
Around the world
As we both go
Don't you remember
Who we are

A spark from a candle
Gets lost into the dark,
gets lost into
the darkness

How can something
This dangerous
Take us so far
Apart

While standing
Next to you
While standing
Next to you.

And I'm spinning
and I'm spinning
Like a carousel
In your arms

Around and around
As we both go
Though I know
Just who you are

You are the spark
From the candle
The whisper
Just gone by

Like a soft kiss
That I so miss
Telling me
Good night
Telling me
Good night
