Sickness Poem

I wrote think one day while watching the snow fall, I'm not a mother myself, but I think this poem is very true, seeing as I'm 13 with cancer.

Mothers Plea

©

Published by Family Friend Poems November 2008 with permission of the Author.

The saddest for a mother to watch
is her daughter
watching the snow fall
through a cold window pane
Fogged by the breath of a sick little girl
pressing her face hard up against the glass.

Too sick to go outside;
but not too sick to ask
why god made something so pretty
that she couldn't play with.
