Blowing Bubbles

As I sit and blow this bubble,
I fondly think of you.

Of all the things you taught me
And the stuff we used to do.

The way you would dress me
And gently kiss my head.

The times you told me stories
And tucked me into bed.

Now I sit here blowing bubbles
With a daughter of my own

As she smiles brighter
Than the sun has ever shown.

I would like to tell you thank you
For all the love and tears.

For loving me and raising me
Your best through all the years.

I know I wouldn't be the mom I am today
Without the mom that first showed me the way.
