November Harbinger
Brilliant lonely star on high,
In the fiery charcoal sky,
in Haiku
Warm fall afternoons,
crisp cool eves with harvest moons,
crickets singing tunes,
I'm so happy you enjoyed "Hello Autumn." It has always been my favorite season of the year. I had to think of a way to sum it up completely for a Haiku style poem and this is what I came up...
in Fall Poems
What a difference a day makes,
twenty-four little hours.
Cool chill in the air,
Your very first breath of life, I was there.
Tiny miracle of God, you appeared,
overflowing with joy, my eyes cried a tear,
outstretching my arms to hold you so near.
True. So many people can relate to this poem, especially now in the times we live in! I think readers of this poem will relate because I believe everyone experiences these feeling through life at some time or another, especially when we are young and even into adulthood. It's the hope that the world will get better that keeps us going! Thanks for sharing!
Loved this poem, and it touched me. I think it is so beautiful that the author expressed such gratitude to her special friend. It is so rare to find a friend that can lift a person up in this way. The author expresses something that many people take for granted, and that is the sincere friendship of someone that, no matter what, will unconditionally love you and lift up. Beautiful poem for a cherished friend.
This is a wonderful poem, and you sure have a way with words, and putting your deepest feelings into those words really brings your poetry to life. It is very therapeutic. Please keep up your poetry so many other young people, and people of all ages, can relate to your feelings in this poem. We have all been there one time or another in our life or will be at some point in the future. It's actually refreshing to have a good cry once in a while. It cleanses us of negative feelings and can almost give a feeling of relief to just get it all out. Sometimes we even cry tears of joy, and that's even better. Wishing you joy in your future. Be patient. Keep writing!
What a beautiful way to teach all young women and young girls what the meaning of true beauty is! Everyone with daughters should have this poem framed and given as a gift for their daughters to have and to hold and to go back to from time to time through life to remind them of their beauty and worth. I loved this poem and will pass it along to my sister, nieces and great-niece and to all those beautiful ladies in my life that mean so much to me so they will always realize their unique beauty!
Great poem. So wise, so compassionate, so true. Every child is special. Love your poem, Ella!
