The simple truth is this
It is within your love I find bliss
As each day passes by
I grow in thankfulness you are mine

You spoil me beyond compare
Forever more I will declare
For another year has gone by
Realizing time flies

Life changing is this year
I am sure there will be a tear
Comfort I will find in your embrace
As our boy grows up with grace

Happy Anniversary my dear
Because of you this change is easier to bear
For the truth besides
Is I love you by my side

It's been awhile since I written
Nothing has changed since then
Then again something is hidden
So, let's try this once more, again

Are you willing to hear this plea?
Are you willing to listen, and see?
Well, I guess there is no guarantee
I hope these words set me free

Do you know what happened to me?
Something hidden has changed me
Tearing at my inner being I can't flee
It's a secret? I wish you could see

Day after day I die a thousand deaths
Struggling to just catch my breath
Yes! Each time as if completely new
And again, I just wish that you knew

For you are like a beautiful flower
In a field of emptiness and nothing
Nothing compares to your power
Yes! This is worth discussing

Let's talk about the power of your smile
I miss it because it's been awhile
Awhile since I've seen the sunrise
Depicted by the light in your eyes

Darkness now has overtaken you
I am hurting now for you too
Once upon a time I didn't care
But I never felt like it before.  To be fair

I don't know what is going on
An unknown path I've come upon
Yes.  This is someone else's to bear
But it is a burden I wish to share

To pick you up when you are down
To build you up so you don't frown
Something I always wanted to be
An encouragement to you in need

It's been awhile since I have written
But nothing has changed since then
I loved you then and I love you now
Secret no more, this is my vow

With the dawn of each new day
I realize this more and more
There is something I need to say
That I never really could before

Not because I didn't want too
Just chose to keep it inside
So now I confess to you
For with you I now confide

I count each second precious
As if it were my very last
Just to be in your beautiful presence
Even though the time goes very fast

I could go on about your smile
But there is more to you I know
There's also beauty in your eyes
You make the world around you glow

Even on the darkest day
When storms are at their worst
Just the very sight of you-drives the storm clouds away
So, with my sadness completely reversed

There's calmness in your voice
That puts my soul at rest
With your laughter bringing me joy
And your happiness leaving me refreshed

So, there is no other way to say
With all my heart I have to confess
This message I'm going to convey
Everything about you I seem to obsess
