When searching for God,
There's no need to look far.
He's not in the clouds
Or some far away star.

When searching for God,

He doesn't hide in the shadows,
Even though he's hard to see.
God resides in the minds
Of those who believe.

Our bodies are a temple,
So be good; never stray.
Be truthful and honest.
Praise God every day.

For God is your spirit.
God is your soul.
God's in your heart.
God is love; this I know.

From little things I see.
Each day a little message
An angel reveals to me.

A whisper of the breeze
On a quiet summer's day
Is a voice from an angel
Who sadly passed away.

The gently falling rain
That lingers upon my face
Are the tears falling from heaven
From a wife I can never replace.

The first snowflakes of winter
Are an angel's frozen tears.
A reminder of the love we shared
Telling me you are near.

A falling leaf in autumn
Is just another sign
To let me know you're watching me

I remember when I was small and cool,
I was always playing truant from school.
My mum used to say,
"You'll regret it one day

When you grow up to become a fool."

Now I'm old; the damage is done.
How I wish I'd listened to Mum.
If I could turn back time,
I'd study hard and toe the line

Is there anything out there?
Something we don't know?
Our earth is just a grain of dust

In a universe that continues to grow.

Is there life on other planets?
Is there a God above?
There must be more
Than just living then dying.
What's the point, I often ask?

Maybe there's a parallel universe
Where departed ones meet again.
A world that's full of light,
A world that has no pain.

Is there something beyond the stars,
Or is it just an empty space?
Is God in another universe?
Did he abandon the human race?

I hope there's something out there.
Surely life can't be that cruel.
I pray there's a God looking over us.
If not,
"What's the point of it all?"
