1. His Name Is God
Who is the one who loves us all
And never denys us when to him we call
Who never fails us through right or wrong
And picks us up when we might fall
Is there a higher power or a God out there? Why did It create us? What is the meaning of it all? When one is on a spiritual quest, these are some of the questions one encounters. Of course, if such a being were to show itself, that would answer all our questions. But without questions, might that take some of the excitement out of the search? The world is intended to be a place of free choice. The more clearly God is manifest in the world, the less we can choose to ignore his presence. His choice not to show himself is a gift to human beings to be able choose their own destinies.

And never denys us when to him we call
Who never fails us through right or wrong
And picks us up when we might fall

When the world comes crashing in
And chaos rules my mind,
I turn my heart to you, Lord
And pure, sweet peace I find.
A lovely poem, I only wish my faith was as strong as yours. Best wishes, Ann

The batteries of a flashlight
or a luminescent wristwatch
will die over time;
HIS light is immortal.
God created the Earth
to bring us all to life,
to share in the beauty
of this world, free from strife.
Silent love from God displays,
Stronger than turbulent waves.
Time after time the Israelites strayed,
Changed not God's love in any way.
When night changes into day
we get a chance to start over again.
We can complete the things left undone
and reach back and make amends.
Glory to our loving Lord, who is a
Mighty God and a faithful friend.
His divine love for us is pure and perfect,
and His great mercy knows no end.
I do my very best each day
Though some days prove worse than others.
I'm everywhere I'm needed,
No need more crucial than another.
in my weeping, He is still good
in my fear, He is still good
in my weariness, He is still good
in my pain, frustration, hurt, and shame
Day by day, God walks with me,
and my burdens he helps me bear.
Each step I take along the way,
my loving Father is always there.
You are the music. You are the song.
You are the words of truth and love.
You are the voice that speaks to our heart.
You are the music, the song of our heart.
Actually, there is music to this poem that was created in 2013.
I am a work of art
In the Almighty's hands.
The intent of His heart,
He totally understands.
When searching for God,
There's no need to look far.
He's not in the clouds
Or some far away star.
Dear Yannik,
I'm so pleased you liked my poem. Thank you for your time and heart-warming comment.
God is my Saviour
God is my friend.
God lights my way
Whenever darkness descends.
A crisp, cool autumn evening,
Stars fill the night up high.
God, the great creator,
Decking out the sky.
This pain that I feel cuts through me like steel.
It's like an open wound that just won't heal.
They say that time is the key that turns the lock and sets you free,
But why, God? Why, is this happening to me?
Our God supplies us everything we need.
When we need help, to Him we reach.
He is always with us when we are lonely.
He loves us so much and takes anger slowly.
Excellent poem. I love it. One of my favorites on Family Friend Poem website.
Chill and be still, my child, for I am God,
the Creator of all things, the Master upon high,
Lord of all Lords, King of all Kings.
With your faith in me I can change anything.
Every scar has a story.
What will mine tell?
What will come of this
when I’m better, when I’m well?
In 1995, I had surgery to correct an arterial brain malformation (AVM), for which I was given a prognosis of only a 5% chance of survival, and I'd never walk or talk again. I told the doctor...
I felt the love of an angel today,
For the first time since I walked away.
I've felt guilt and shame for so many years,
But the angel freed me of that through my tears.
I am 19 years old now. When I was young, I used to go to church with my mom. She taught me how to pray, love, respect, fear God, be obedient, and read the word of God. One day my mom was sick...
