21. Daddy's Little Girl
In your eyes, I see grace,
Full of love and encased
With a hope that burns bright in the dark.
Through your love, I know God.
In your eyes, I see grace,
Full of love and encased
With a hope that burns bright in the dark.
Through your love, I know God.
My dad has always been there for me at times when I think I can't keep going, but he never stops telling me that I can accomplish anything in my life.

Sometimes life throws us curve balls,
And nothing he does is fair.
We know we have a lot of differences,
But with a dad's love, who cares?
This poem made me tear up just from reading it. It's so relatable and definitely made me appreciate my father much more. I love you dad!

I can remember the first time that I
saw your smiling face,
I held you close to my heart, you could
probably hear it race.
Wow!!!!!! A beautiful poem :D I love it, it's so touching
I need you now.
Please take me by the hand.
Stand by in my hour of need,
Take time to understand.
My wife wanted a divorce and in the wake were our children. I have a girlfriend with two kids. My daughter thinks I've replaced her and her brother with them...but I could never replace them....
My father is a farmer.
His heart is in the soil
It's there he finds his solace,
Among the grimy toil.
This is the best poem I've ever laid eyes on! I, too, have a farmer father, and this poem fits him perfectly. Daddy told me once that he feels closest to God when he is in the fields. Thank,...
I have to tell you how I feel
Sometimes my words may not seem real
You do what you do to make me laugh when I cry
This poem had me crying so hard!! It's a great poem.
My father's love never places judgment on me,
his love comes unconditional and unselfishly.
For all the things you've done to show how much you care,
I am so glad to have stumbled upon this poem. In my moment of grief, this has given me the strength to strive to be a dad like this for my two daughters. Many thanks and much love.
He doesn't care if he's a movie star
or the best athlete to be had,
not even a millionaire trader,
he just wants his dad.
Thank you for your kind words. I hope this poem will express the importance of a father's role.
I sit here and wait. I wait for your chest to rise; I wait for you to open your eyes. I lay in bed and wait to hear... to hear that door open and Mum calmly come out, because that means you didn't bow out. I watch you smile, to hell with the pain, your spirit lifts when you see us all together again.
I know you're in pain, it's a struggle every day, I know the goodbye that hangs in the air, but my heart isn't ready for the break that's waiting there. I try not to get stuck on what's to come, I don't want to grieve early, let's just have some rum. Let's laugh at the past, and live in the now, create new memories while time allows.
This poem really touched me, and I am a twelve-year old girl! I don't know what's going on now, if he's still fighting or not, but I just want to tell you that you can always pray and God...
Famous Poem
Only a dad, with a tired face,
Coming home from the daily race,
Bringing little of gold or fame,
To show how well he has played the game,
Hello everyone. It’s a Monday morning, and I’ve just begun working, but somewhere in my mind throughout the day I keep remembering my dad and his deeds. No matter how tired I become, I still...
It seems like only yesterday
With a teardrop in my eye
That you were born into this world
With a whimper and a cry
To my baby girl, Larissa Coleman. No matter where you are, remember to hold your heart 'cause mom is with you.
My hero never fought in a war
He never drove a big fancy car
He did not go very far in school
But he lived his life by the golden rule
This is so well worded. It reminds me exactly of my own upbringing and father. I am one of seven children raised during the depression. Dad was a carpenter and when building ceased, he and...
He grew up in a town where people were poor,
In a family quite wealthy with love.
He was raised by two parents who were stable but strict
And taught him to trust God above.
My dad joined the Navy, but he is with me still today. I am sorry for your loss.
The pleasure I gain
From being a Dad
Is down to my children,
All three that I've had.
I was looking for a poem about my step-son's love for his three children, now that he and their mother are divorced, to put on a scrapbook page of him and the children, and this poem was...
There was a time
When not so long ago
A newborn had cried her first tear
As she entered into a strange new world.
Awesome. I just love it! It's awesome, and I'm speechless.
Though you're not his father as far as bloodlines go,
You are the only daddy this child will ever know.
You've held his hand and guided his path,
Creating a bond that forever will last.
A real dad is someone who sticks around to care for you. A biological dad is there when you’re born. I have a real dad now, and I am proud to call him my father.
The fears of a father in this world are not few.
Over time they may shift in their shape, shade, or hue,
But the one that keeps calling, keeps knocking my door,
"What happens when she doesn't need me anymore?"
You are so right to value the time you have together now - I cannot believe how quickly time has fled. However, I look back and feel blessed for such treasured memories. Very best wishes, Ann.
A father is a person who loves and respects you.
He is honest and he never neglects you.
He is the greatest that your eyes will ever see.
No other man like him will there ever be.
A father is a man who gives you enough room to make mistakes as you grow, crawl before you walk and watch you stubble along the way.
He'll give you enough space to waddle in your...
I have the very perfect dad,
That is something anyone could see.
But I don't know if I've told him
Exactly what he means to me.
Wow, this is a beautiful poem. I love it. I can tell you wrote this poem from your heart.
I remember the times
You'd flip me onto your shoulder
Freefalling skyward
Taller, older
This poem so reminds me of the relationship my Daddy and I had. He had a major surgery in 1971 and because of that and the effects of the anesthesia, his decline began. It took a while for us...
