Children Poem

The Hope We Find In Children

I raised my 2 daughters alone. Now, I'm fortunate enough to be present as my daughters raise my 4 grandchildren. Children have a way of instilling hope, even when we feel there is none.

The Eyes Of Wild

Sincere the smile,
The eyes of wild,
Of innocence,
Within a child.

Hope lives there,
Where all's fulfilled,
Those tiny souls,
Their giant wills

The colored pictures,
Held on to,
To help our hearts,
To guide us through.

To move our souls,
From dark to light,
Up from down,
Pale to bright.

We lose our thoughts,
Our worried stares,
Our broken hearts
And weighted cares.

Should hindered hope
Leave life defiled,
All hope returns,
In the eyes of wild.
