Poem About Being Friends With A Boy

This was written about my best friend James. I've known him since we were little kids, and he's been there for me for everything. When my grandpa died, he was there to comfort me. When my boyfriend slapped me, he fought him. I couldn't ask for a better best friend.

No matter what I'm feeling,
no matter what I say,
just a smile from that boy
brightens up my day.

He is one of my best friends.
I've known him several years.
He's been there for me for everything:
the smiles, the anger, the tears.

I love that boy to death.
He's been there through it all.
I know he has my back,
and he'll catch me when I fall.

That boy is my best friend.
Girl, you better treat him right,
'cause if you don't, I can promise
there's gonna be a fight.

This makes me miss a friend very much. In 5th grade, I loved him very much. He was always there for me, and I could tell him everything. I am now in middle school at a different school than he is. I now have many other things going on and feel I am not in a good place without him. This poem made me happy. Thank You.
