Thank You Poem

The Support Of A Mother

My name is EmilyAnn McGrath. I am a seventeen-year-old in North Carolina. I am about to graduate high school and go to college to pursue an undergrad degree in Forensic Science. I would not be alive on this very day, or be as successful as I am today, if it were not for my mother. This is for you mom. I love you.

My mom, you are so bright,
keeping me happy, a great big fight.
My life has not been easy,
But with you, it has made it less uneasy.

Having anxiety through my teen years is hard.
You by my side through it all is a love to regard.
To love is to have a mom like you.
With all in life, all you have done is stay true.

I walk not alone, but with you on my side,
my mom, my best friend, your care extends wide.
When I am low, you pick me up to carry me high.
You never let me go, you keep me going on to try.

My last year of high school is about to conclude.
Thank you, Mom; your help has been more than viewed.
It has been appreciated, loved, and more than thankful,
for having you as my mom is more than plentiful.

Thank you, Mom!
