Poem About Keeping A Boyfriend A Secret

This poem is based on my relationship. I love my boyfriend, but he doesn't want to be a secret. He doesn't understand why I can't tell my parents. To be honest, I don't think that I fully understand. I just know that I can't.

I love you so much.
Please never doubt this is true.
But I'm having such
A hard time with you.
You want me to tell,
But there are reasons why I must stay quiet.
It puts me through hell
That I live with this secret.
I know it makes you feel like I don't care,
But I promise that's not true.
I love you, but I do not dare
To tell mom and dad about you.

Please, don't do this. My next-door neighbor was a very nice and cute guy. One day I went to his house to distribute a few sweets, and he was all alone at home, so he invited me to his house. There he admitted his love and proposed to me. I had this enormous crush on him, and so I said yes. He invited me to his bedroom and we ended up kissing and stuff. A few weeks later we were dating at a cafe when my parents walked in and saw me kissing that guy. I never felt so ashamed in my life! They didn't have a problem with me dating Alfred but they were really pissed at me for keeping this from them. Now I have Rahul's parents know too and they don't have a problem. Our love life is a "Happily ever after" but from that day I made a decision that I would never keep a secret from my family. So remember my dear, family comes first!

I had something happen to like this. I was scared my parents were going to break me and my boyfriend up. It was really bad always being afraid, but when they did meet him it was amazing. We dated for 7 months.

I relate to this poem because my girlfriend is Christian so she doesn't want to tell her parents that she's dating me. Sometimes I just have to scream that she's my girl from the roof tops.
