You don't understand!
Nobody ever does!
You treat a dog better than me,
And you wonder why I always sit in my room with the door shut.
Whenever I do something wrong,
You shout instead of help.
I listen, while the anger travels through me.
My eyes so full of tears I don't think I can hold any more,
I wish I could cover my ears.
Sometimes I feel like I come from another planet,
Trying to learn your ways and language.
That wouldn't help,
You wouldn't accept me.
Why can't I have some freedom,
Listen to the songs I want to listen to,
Say what I want to say without being shouted at,
The things that are so simple,
Seem to be so hard.
Please try to find a way of getting inside my head and reading my thoughts Because I'm too scared to talk.
Just leave me alone.
