I was born in the arms of my own king and queen.
They raised me as they were, in the life they had seen.
My queen guarded and protected me as her queen did before.
My king provided and protected me, with clothes, food, and war.
They watched me grow and guided me in youth.
They corrected my mistakes and showed me the truth.
Now I've found my own way, and they have stepped back.
Now they watch from afar to keep me on track.
But one day they'll go and leave me alone.
I'll find my own queen and take over the throne.
They've shown me the way and taught me respect.
I'll create my own kingdom the way they'd expect.
I'll have my own heirs and show them the way,
The way they've shown me, right up to this day.
A Poem Of Guidance And Growth Of Family
This shows me to always respect your parents because one day they will leave and you are going to have to do it on your own. That is what the poem means to me.
