Long Distance Poem

Cyber Romance Poem

My name is Brandon. I met this girl online. I told myself I'd never get involved in another "e-relationship." But she is so charming, devoted, loving, caring, and the list goes on. It didn't take long for me to break my promise to myself and get involved with her. She has a minor form of Dependent Personality Disorder (DPD) and has been abused and taken advantage of. I feel I'm the only one that will treat her right. She is one of the best things to ever happen to me. I can only pray we finally get to meet someday.

Long Distance Love

How do you wait
At least 3 years
For a possible soul mate
But have no fears?

For you, I open my gate
And wish that you were here,
But you live in another state,
Yet another reason to fear.

But I fear because I care,
And I care because I love you.
It's a kind of love that is rare
And shared by very few.

My love, in every form, is undying,
And to lose you in any way would mean I'm dying.
You are a gift greater than everything,
And for you, I'll do anything.

I'll wait for you over these next few years,
And together we'll overcome our greatest fears.

I really felt your every word. I met a girl last month, and she is so amazing, beautiful, and so on. As you said, the list goes on. She is the sole reason why I'm alive because she had faith and trust in me when I had lost it in myself. I wanted her to thank her, for she had seen me in my worst days, so I know she won't leave me at any cost and so do I. This is the poem I will definitely send to her about how blessed I feel after meeting her.

In September 2016, I met Ada in a group chat. We live about 300 miles away from each other. To be honest, we didn't really start things properly because I was not over the biggest heartbreak I had experienced. We kinda bonded intellectually from the beginning. She was really crazy about me. I knew that, but I didn't feel as much as she did (but I did like her). Unfortunately, I just wasn't ready. She sensed it and regretted ever feeling the way she did. So for an entire year, we didn't keep in touch until everything changed this year. She moved on, so we started texting and making phone calls again, and this time I began to see her differently because I'm totally over my ex. I see how she is the most beautiful woman in my life. I am insanely in love with her, and she feels the same. It was only a matter of time. I love you to the moon and back, Ada.

After having suffered a painful heart break from an online relationship, which had happened to be my first ever stroke of luck at falling in love, I was so hurt that I made up my mind not to love again since it seemed every girl was faking temporary attachment as love just to get what they needed.

On the 23rd of May 2018, I met this girl on Facebook. We had a brief chat. She sent me her phone number and we got talking. I wasn't looking for love, however, I told her that in spite of all the fake love I've seen, I still believed in true love like that of a fairy tale. She took it up from there and wouldn't let me go. Apparently, that was her belief too. Today we're so in love with each other though we're so far apart. I believe that with the depth of our love for each other, we will get through this tough times and someday walk hand in hand with each other. There is nothing as sweet as finding true love. No matter the distance, it is worth the pain of waiting. I love you, Tresh.

I have a boyfriend now. I met him on social media. He is super far away from me. He is Italian, and I am Filipino. There are challenges we face, but we keep going because love is stronger than anything else. Distance will never be a reason for us to separate.

I met my soulmate online while both of us were on Twitter. It was quite by accident as he had followed me online and I did my customary thing of saying thank you for the follow, not expecting an answer. But answer he did. He was so pleasant and nice that I couldn't help but talk to him. He had just gotten up to get a drink of water. Told him he should go back to bed; I hadn't meant to keep him up. He said he was awake, and our conversation continued. It just blossomed from then on. He was so passionate and funny and loving, all rolled into one. Never met someone so nice and considerate. We eventually exchanged pictures, and so the story went on. It's only been a month, and I am truly in love. He says he prayed to God to help him find a mate and then I came along. He lives in New York; I live in California. He is now out of the country on a job till the end of November and then he will come for me. He has proposed and we will plan our wedding. We are truly soulmates forever.

My boyfriend and I are very far apart, 466 miles to be exact. I live in Kentucky and my soul mate lives in Missouri. It's hard sometimes to never see someone you're madly in love with. I would know. We grew up in California. We do argue at times, but most of it is because of the distance between us, but we have both agreed that we can make it through this together. He is older than me. I am underage for him, which makes our relationship even harder. We only get to call and talk on oovoo. With that being said we also only get talk for only a few minutes because I can’t talk at night, and during the day he has training, which usually lasts around 2-3 hours long. We have faced so many challenges in the short time we have known each other. But we are gonna make it through it all. I believe that our love is strong enough to overcome anything.

My soulmate and I met online. We live 1,618 miles apart. He is from Portugal, and I am from the United Kingdom. I am a YouTuber, and he got to see me through my videos, and he started to like me but was too afraid to try contacting me. I eventually added him on Facebook after another friend mentioned him. I said hi, and it grew from there. At first I didn't want a relationship because at the time I couldn't keep a friendship going, let alone have a boyfriend. But then one day it got to me when he told me he cried over something he had recently seen, and I told him I love a guy who is not afraid to show his emotions and I said I would like to start a relationship with him. At first he was a little taken aback because I rejected his first attempt, but then he agreed and we have now been together for almost 7 months (it will be 7 months as of February 16, 2018). I could not be happier. He even proposed to me LIVE on livestream yesterday (2/3/2018). I, of course, said yes! He is my soulmate!

My boyfriend and I met on Facebook 27 days ago. On 1st July we will be one month old and we are both so excited. We feel so close yet we are so far apart. I am in Asia and he is in Africa. We love each other so much already. We send each other messages at the same time. When we talk on the phone we speak the same words at the same time. Its too amazing to share these feelings so far apart. I never believed in online meet ups but now I do. He is the one for me.

I just want to say that me and my now husband of 3 years met on Facebook as well. We have a total of 6 years together, I am in America and he is still in Africa aka Tunisia. We are almost complete with him coming to me now. People will say many things but you have to follow your heart. My advise to you is be strong and never give up on each other. You must have trust in one another. Being so far apart its difficult but if you don't it will not last. Trust me I'm living it. You should really make plans to visit him, Africa is beautiful!!!!

First let me say how beautiful is that poem. I met my boyfriend on line. And immediately we clicked. When I saw him I know he was the one. It was love at first sight for me anyway. He's tall, dark and handsome. The man of my dreams. The only problem is he lives in New York. We met a year and five months ago. He has proposed of course I said yes. Thank God for airplanes, my baby send for me and today we are one happy family. I thank God in the Internet for bringing us together. People used to say I was crazy for falling in love with somebody online. Now they wish me all the happiness in the world. So my advice to anyone will meet online go with your gut believing your heart. Love happen no matter where you're at.

Today is me and my girlfriend's 3 month anniversary. She lives in Minnesota and I live in a small Texas town. I met her over the internet and we've already been through so much in such a short time. We may argue a lot but I care so much about her because I can relate to her pain. She's just amazing and I can't wait until the day I meet her (which should hopefully be Christmas) I love you April.

I met the most amazing guy on xbox and I never thought it would work out because he lives in United States and I live in Canada. So I didn't bother gaining any more feelings for him so I tried staying away from him but the more I did the more I felt empty so everyday I would text him and he would text me sometimes till 4:00 a.m. then one night we were playing a game together and he asked me out I said I don't know I would think about it. Then the next day I couldn't stop thinking of what he said so then I stopped talking to him again. Then 10 days after that I went back on xbox and I said yes and that happened 3 years ago and we're still happily together and soon to get married in California together <3

I met my boyfriend online almost two and half years ago, we fell in love right away, he's so amazing and funny and caring. He means the world to me. Every time we have tried to get together something comes up. The worst part is he is three thousand miles away. I can't even go to sleep at night unless I think about him. Every night I dream about him being here. I can't wait for the day that I finally get to be with him. He's my love. My soul mate. <3

Me in Spain and her in US.
I meet my girlfriend thank to her friend, I know her and her friend "in-game". Her friend added me on Skype and she added me to their call, at the start it was strange to be there but with time we start to talk more. She start to Skype with me more, more, more and more. I start to feel things for her and at the end she asked me to date. We started to date 3 months and 11 days ago (I write this at 12/12/2013) and I keep falling in love of her more every single day. We still didn't meet at real life we only Skype for now, but I have planed to move near her as soon I finish my study. I never had a long distance relationship before so sometimes is kind of strange to me, but I never feel so in love for someone in my life. I can't wait to be with her :D.

I met this guy through a website, we've been talking for almost 7 months until today, and I was overwhelming when he was on Skype just talk to me for hours, we even had a phone call for 6 hours. He lives in Berlin and I in Jakarta. He is younger than me but we feel so connected. I have faith that there will come a time for us to meet one day. But I think I'm gonna give him a surprise, I have plan to go to Berlin after I got my Bachelor degree. Hope it wouldn't change anything between us when we met. I feel dying every time we talk on Skype. I just wanna be there right beside him.

I met Jack in middle school. I thought he has the cutest dimples. I feel in love with that smile. That was that. I saw him 30 years ago and still fell in love with him. We both were married. Now we're both divorced. He lives in Ohio and I in CA. I have been to see him three times. This is so hard on me and I can't wait till that day comes to finally be together. I'm planning on moving back. It's been two years. I hope I can leave sometime this fall. This poem is so right for me.
Thank you:))

This is a sweet poem. It's accurate I think for many online/long distance relationships. I've been in love with the same guy, 3.6 thousand miles away, for the past 6 and a half years now, and since day one I have had many of these same underlying feelings. It's a hard thing, loving abroad.. For some it requires far too much patience. But the reward promises to be far more fulfilling when one remains separated from their other half for so long.

I met my partner 2 years ago when he was working here in my country. He is from abroad. We have stayed together but for now that he have to back to his country as waiting for a job. But we only get to see each other for certain times and I do go abroad not always. So we both are missing each other so dearly and hoping that someday we never be apart like this. Skyping was the only chance we get to speak and see each other and for me...I will read poems to get my heart at peace and so my love will stay like your love poems here. It helps a lot! tq.laura george.

I am going through the same thing as you writer. I met my boyfriend online, we were friends for a long time, a year and a month to be exact, before we started to date. We had already told each other that we loved each other months before we started to date, but because of the distance and circumstances that we were in, we didn't see how dating could work between us. We talked every night and every day. It started to become to much for me, so one night I plucked up the courage and asked him out, thankfully he said yes. We also have decided to wait a while before we see each other in person (instead of just on Skype), or for us to move closer to each other, since we live in different countries, he lives in the U.S and I live in Canada. I hope we can see each other sooner though. I cried, because your poem is what I want to tell him, but I can never seem to find the right words to tell him exactly how I truly feel. So I tank you for writing this poem, and putting it out there.

I fell in love with a man from another country and I did get to go see him for a short time but I had to come back and all I can do is wait for the day I see him again because it is really hard for him to come here to me, but I pray that God will find a way and bring him to me one day..
