In the crowd where shadows play,
I wander through a world of gray,
But there, like sunlight breaking through,
My heart finds anchor--just for you.
The bustling streets, the whispers near,
Fade to silence, and all I hear
Is the quiet pulse of dreams anew,
For every breath, I breathe for you.
The stars, they twinkle, not for gold,
But for the stories they once told,
Yet in their light, both soft and true,
I glimpse the constellations--of you.
The roses bloom, in hues divine,
Yet none compare to love's design,
No fragrant petal, fresh or dew,
Compares to beauty, found in you.
So let the world spin on its axis,
Let time unfurl and hearts relax;
In every moment, old and new,
My gaze will wander--just to you.
For in this life, where moments fleet,
Amid the laughter, joy, and heat,
There's but one truth to hold me through:
I only have eyes--only for you.
Beauty Found In You
Oh to have someone write a beautiful poem like that for me. It's lovely, truly lovely. Very best wishes, Ann.
