An escape from cruel, twisted reality
a warm, forgiving, enduring embrace
tired eyes and withered skin
resting together, with peaceful entwinement
a perfect proximity between two beings
a short paradise, holding sanity
aching bones and minds, lay quiet
feathery slumber, no disturbance
a soft, lazy kiss upon the jawbone
the littlest things are enough
when love is here.
