Bullying Poem

A Poem About Overcoming Bullying

This is to everyone who has been bullied. I have been through it, and I know what it's like. I know the feeling of sadness, depression, loneliness, and pain. NEVER attempt or even think of suicide! Killing yourself doesn't end the pain; it passes it on to others. You'll only let them win with your suicide! Those idiots who hurt you will pay the price of their doings. Trust me, they will! Smile, keep your head up high, and kill them with kindness. It kills them when you do this! Stay strong!

High School Soldier

Every day when you come through the doors,
You are entering the high school war,
Where you will be shot at with words that could kill.
They are thrown without any rightful skill.

There is the laughter of the rival,
Who is just downright cruel.
Their words cut deep down,
And you, the victim, will begin to drown.

Keep your head high.
There is no need to cry.
Just wear a smile;
It'll be worthwhile.

Kill them with kindness, even if it hurts.
Don't let them shove you into the dirt.
Wear the uniform with pride.
Don't let them make you dead inside.

You are above them all,
So hold your head up and stand tall.
They'll all fall with a little time,
Because people throw rocks at things that shine.

You are fine the way you are.
Those who say otherwise can get stuck in the tar.
Soon things will get better, and don't say they will not,
Because sooner or later those fools will get caught.

So the next time they hurt you, remember this saying.
Nothing lasts forever, so just keep praying.
Next time, be strong like a boulder.
Every teenager is a high school soldier.

Bullies are found not in schools only but everywhere in the society. People's ego these days do not recognize any boundaries. All are out to establish their supremacy. In this senseless race, one can only stabilize through love, compassion, empathy and humility.

I'm 10 and I was being bullied by two boys (I'm a girl). When that was happening, I felt worthless, like a piece of trash. The brown-haired boy said, "If you wanna see a joke, look in the mirror." I may only be a 4th grader, but in those moments, I wanted to die just so it would be over at last, but then I realized that I had friends to live for, my reputation as the most beautiful girl in school, longest hair in school, so I searched why boys bully girls. It said it was because they have a 50/50 percent chance of liking you. I know some people still say I'm a bit chubby, but I read that if you are fat as a child, you most likely will be skinnier as an teenager and as an adult. So, if people say you're ugly, fat, worthless, useless, etc., ignore it or say, "Whatever." Just remember, no matter what, you are beautiful/handsome!

This poem is so inspiring. As someone who has been through bullying and depression, I'm deeply touched by your poem. Now everything is over and I get to have a fresh start. I'm just really glad and very proud of myself that I still tried to be kind and didn't attempt suicide despite having the idea on my mind many times. As you said, it doesn't end the pain but only passes it onto others.
