Nana had a magic purse, which always seemed to amaze,
she'd do all the old fashioned stuff, she was so set in her ways.
I remember when I was younger, hauling in her coal,
then I'd get to help her, make her famous sausage roll.
God saw that she was getting frail and old,
he lay his hand in hers and took a hold.
So when it came the time for her heart to have a rest,
it proved to us down here that God only takes the best.
In life we loved her dearly in death we'll do the same,
it came so unexpected the day God called her name.
I long for you to be here again,
but I know that now you're out of pain.
so when times get hard I know you're here,
I place my hand on my heart and feel you near.
Now again with the man that holds your heart,
for now you two are no longer kept apart.
So the last words I say are going to be so very true,
goodbye Nana, I love and so dearly miss you...
Goodbye Nana
