I wrote this for one of my best friends who's like a brother to me. A girl he was dating decided out the blue she wanted to be single but will not tell him why. I was basically writing out of his point of view.

Let it go,
And if it comes back
That's how you'll know."
But if it's love, why did
You ever leave in the first place?
Got me confused,
Mixed emotions,
No expression on my face,
Like I'm stuck in the back.
Can't see the finish line,
I'm loosing this race.
Heartless,
So many people are.
You're out having fun,
And I'm admiring from afar.
Ain't no way I can go on without you here with me.
Why'd you say you loved me
When there was somewhere else you'd rather be?
What's love when someone always ends up heartbroken?
I'm not going to remain silent,
Gonna speak what's never spoken.
You had me into your game.
I'll never fall for the same.
I'm just ignoring the pain
But not forgetting your name.
See, that's what hurts the most.
Thought our love was so real.
I can almost touch it, it's close.
Now it's just fading away.
Friends always tell me I'll be okay,
But they don't even know any of the hurt I have inside.
No tears falling.
My heart isn't even beating, it died.
Even though you're doubting us,
I'll hold my head high when I'm sad,
And if you walk away,
Never forget what you had.
