Don't Take Her Away From Me

Please don't take her away
I was her favorite
I knew how to act
I knew how to treat people
All because of her
I knew I was happy
When I was with her
She held me and said
When you come back
You have to come see me
When you have time to write
Please write me
I love you, baby
I'm always here
If you can't live with your mom
If you come and visit and you can't handle it, come here
I will take care of you.
Please
You can't take my grandma from me
You cannot let her go so soon
She cannot leave me behind.
She made me understand things
I just couldn't get.
She put my favorite cookies out
She made the best hot-cocoa
She gave me stuffed animals
Because she knew I loved them
She sent me money when I needed it.
Without my grandma I have no life inside.
Please, whatever you do God, don't take my grandma away from me.

I loved this poem. It was touching. I almost cried. I have no grandma, she died when I was little but I know that she is still here with me and that she always will be.

Your poem reminded me of my Aunt Joyce. My aunt died at a young age and because my mother was a drunk I used my aunt like a mother but she died. I did not have a mother but my aunt told me just before she died that I should take care of my father and don't be sad it will be all right and then she smiled and she let go of my hand. I miss her( AUNT JOYCE) ; I felt like a really soft blanket floating away into the sky above at that moment and I never got over it; How can I she was my mother.

This Poem made me cry. Brought back my own feelings how I felt about my Nana. God bless her soul. She lived to 92 years old. She was there for her children. grandchildren and great grandchildren, through are up and downs.
We thought she would live forever. God loans us angels for a short while.
