Someday you'll miss me like I missed you.
Someday you'll cry for me like I cried for you.
Someday you'll want me back like I wanted you.
Someday you'll understand why you broke my heart when I didn't.
Someday you'll understand that I was the only girl that put up with all your mess.
Someday you'll know how pain feels, how you hurt me.
Someday your life will turn upside down like mine did when you broke my heart.
Someday you'll have someone hurt you like you hurt me.
Someday you'll realize how lonely life can be.
Someday you can sit down and think how much I meant to you
When you meant the world to me.
Someday you'll know how I really felt.
Someday you'll try to come back to me like I tried with you,
But someday you'll love me when I won't love you.

I had a girlfriend whom I could love and trust the most, so it was unbelievable to me to find out that she was cheating on me. It was a painful moment in my life since I had no plan to ever date another girl.

I read this poem as part of my tribute to the family of my long time friend and colleague, William, in April 2016 during his funeral. The message was so relevant and soothing to both his family and friends. Its message really conveyed the intended condolences effect. Thanks to the author Edgar.

This poem reminded me so much of myself. I was a mess when my ex left me but then I cut him off and now he gives me sad eyes like he's so sorry but I don't fall for it, he hurt me too many times and I moved on and now I am happy like I have never been before and I found the love of my life. To anyone experiencing pain from an ex just do yourself a favor and just let him go. If he hurt you then he didn't love you. Cut him off go out with friends, trust me...you'll find someone three times as better.

I do not understand how you could move on. I broke up with my boyfriend four months ago. I am still in so much pain. I tried to go out with friends and meet so many different boys. None of them are like him. He was the only one that I actually had feelings for.
