About Debra L Brown

I live in West Virginia with my husband.
History and genealogy are two subjects that I enjoy reading about.
In the early 2000s, I began writing poetry and was urged by my church's pastor
to create a poem to recite on Sunday nights.
In high school, I became interested in poetry.
When I read Elizabeth Barrett Browning's poem "How Do I Love Thee?"
This poem had a significant impact on me.
and it is one of my favorite poems. I also have a special love for classic poets and poetry
When a tiny child reads aloud one of my poems, it is a true blessing.

It is a very interesting poem, which takes me back to my childhood in which we, the children, sang the nursery rhyme, "There was a farmer who had a dog and Bingo was his name-o."

Thank You, Joydip; your words are too kind. I remember when I was growing up, hearing a lot of the old famous poems, and they have made an impression on me. Since April was National Poetry month, I thought the old famous poets deserved to be honored. Blessings to you, my friend, and thanks again.

Henry,
I was brought to tears when I read your story. I'm so sorry for your loss. I was blessed and honored you chose to read my poem to your wife. I always ask God for the words to say and to use me as His vessel. Cherish all those beautiful memories you have of her. You are in my prayers. -God Bless-
