  • The Miracle Of Birth

It's about the miracle of a new life, be it a person or plant or animal. They all need care from the beginning.

The advent of a new birth
Brings such joy to those around,
It's the onset of a new life
    And a miracle so profound.

    Here's a friendly little greeting
Just to welcome you back home,

    in Christmas Poems

Winter time is here again, the trees are all but bare
It's time to don the scarves and boots, & warmer things to wear.
Bikinis, shorts and summer tops, have all been packed away
They won't see the light again, till next year's summer's day.

  • My Husband

I was diagnosed with cancer last November, I had surgery and radiotherapy for weeks after. whilst having my treatment, my husband was taken ill with stomach problems, he was subsequently admitted to hospital where they operated on him, that's when they found out that he also had cancer. I was lucky as I recovered and am now in remission. my husband was told his was inoperable and they gave him three months to live. we had been together for forty years. I am now trying to get my life together.

It was seven lonely months ago
that you said your last goodbye,
the angels took you in their arms
and I was left alone to cry.

I lost my husband seven months ago after forty years of marriage. Until you have been through this difficult experience yourself, you cannot understand the pain. This poem explains it all, the lost feeling when you lose your loved one. No one tells you how to live with the loneliness. I have found that writing poetry has become a life saver for me. I'm fairly new to this, but I really am enjoying it.
